Introducing editor permissions for Goals: With editor permissions for the Goals app, you control who can update strategic content, while everyone else can safely view, follow, and connect work.
Goal Types and better support for OKRs are coming soon: We’re excited to announce updates to the Goals app: Goal types and Success Measures. This gives your organization the flexibility to define and use your own goal terminology - whether that’s Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), Big Hairy Audacious Goals (BHAGs), Big Rocks, or simply Goals. Success measures provide more robust tracking of outcomes, plus enhanced charts for even better visibility.
New Organization APIs to power admin automation: We’re excited to announce the general availability of new public Organization APIs, empowering all organization admins to automate their workflows! These APIs are available to organizations on both the original and centralized user management experiences.
Atlassian’s new System Health feature is now in open beta! System Health is a new reliability monitoring and incident communication feature in Atlassian Administration. It helps you stay aware of incidents by using personalized dashboards and alerts to surface incidents that are only relevant to your sites and apps. Beta
Atlassian Teams
Centrally view and manage teams in your new teams directory in Atlassian Administration: The Teams Directory in AdminHub is your new, unified home for all things Teams. With this feature, you can see all teams in one place and effortlessly manage and update your teams.
Archive Teams: Keep your workspace clean without losing your history: Inactive teams clutter your workspace and make it harder to find what matters. Previously, deleting was the only way to remove them. Now archiving lets you hide inactive teams to keep your workspace clean, while preserving all important data and connections.
How to easily visualize team hierarchies in Atlassian: Team Hierarchy is gradually rolling out to all customers. It helps you mirror your org structure, manage parent and sub-team relationships, and navigate teams at scale.
Beta: Teams now in Confluence permissions: This new feature allows you to manage space and content access using Atlassian Teams, making collaboration and permission management much simpler for people working together. Beta

A roles-only access experience for new Confluence sites
Changes to Cloud data migrations experiences to ensure backward compatibility across access modes
Notice: Removal of Jira Report Macro Template: We removed the Jira Report Macro template from Confluence on December 1st as part of our work to transition the Jira Legacy macro to the Jira Data Center macro in the cloud editor. Existing pages created from this template will remain unaffected and continue to function normally.
Introducing Confluence Race Mode: To celebrate our Atlassian Williams Racing partnership and ultra-fast speed improvements to Confluence, we’re rolling out a fun racing game during the Grand Prix in Las Vegas. Get ready to put your skills to the test and race around the track in a time trial experience. Race Mode will be available in Confluence whiteboards for a limited time!
Introducing Development feature in Jira: The Development feature in Jira is now generally available to all customers! This brings all your team’s software delivery activity into a single, unified view. Offering valuable insights into your team's development work and performance metrics, the Development feature connects key development insights directly to your team's work.
Deprecation notice: We’re removing Overviews for more powerful planning and tracking in Jira: As we continue to evolve Jira to better support your planning and reporting needs, we’re announcing the deprecation of the Overviews feature from navigation by the end of 2025. This change will allow us to focus on delivering more powerful, unified experiences through tools like Plans and Dashboards, as we invest in advanced solutions for planning and reporting.
Champion better teamwork with the Jira Adoption Guide: This guide is designed to help you champion Jira for your team by planning a strategy, getting your team started in the app, and helping everyone truly integrate Jira into their workflow.
Organize Your Work, Your Way: New Group By Options in Jira List View: Jira’s List View (All work tab) is now even more powerful and flexible. You can now group your work by a wider range of fields, across both business and software projects, making it easier to organize, visualize, and take action on your work items.
Multiple Sandboxes Now Generally Available! With Multiple Sandboxes, you can now accelerate safe change management with isolated sandboxes linked to one site. Atlassian apps on an Enterprise plans will include 5 complimentary sandboxes, and apps on a Premium plan can get access to multiple sandboxes per production site by purchasing additional sandboxes. Custom Onboarding in Jira: We’re releasing the ability for non-admins to create and edit content for custom onboarding in Jira Cloud. Premium & Enterprise
Fixing Connections after Renaming Types: If you rename an idea Type in Jira Product Discovery and it was used in a Connection field, but you didn't update the connection field, it will appear as if the connections are gone. Don't worry! Even though you can't see the connections in the UI they're still there, they're just not visible anymore. This article explains how to fix this!
Jira Product Discovery integration with Jira Data Center is live: Now from the Delivery tab of Jira Product Discovery, you can create or link work items in your Jira Data Center instance.

Track Atlassian Rovo MCP server tool usage in your organization’s audit logs: This update gives admins more transparency and helps meet security and compliance requirements by recording each tool invocation event.
Manage your own allowlist: You can now control which domains are allowed to connect to your Atlassian apps via the Rovo MCP server. This means you decide which AI tools and integrations can access your organization’s Jira, Confluence, and Compass instances.
Atlassian Community Release notes for December : Today we shipped some forum fixes and small enhancements. These include some improvements for our members that use the community from mobile devices and the ability to give kudos to article authors whose content you value.
Update on Confluence within Trello 🔨 As Atlassian continues to improve how our products work together, we’re making some changes behind the scenes. Because of these updates, we’ll be retiring the old Confluence Power-Up beginning early January 2026. Your Confluence links will still work in Trello, and you’ll be able to use new, built-in ways to connect your work across both tools.
