When we launched Teamwork Collection, we brought together Jira, Confluence, Loom, and Rovo, with a simple belief:
The future of work isn’t about tools talking to each other. It’s about teams seamlessly connecting together.
Our goal wasn’t to build more features. It was to make work feel more connected, so every idea, decision, and update could flow naturally from one phase of work to the next.
And now, that vision is coming to life in a whole new way, powered by AI that helps teams spend less time coordinating and more time creating.
Here are six of the coolest new ways AI is bringing a little magic to teamwork — from turning meetings into action, to transforming ideas into prototypes, and expanding your impact with AI teammates.
For years, Confluence has been the home of knowledge. But soon, it’ll become the engine of creation.
And the big unlock behind that shift is Create with Rovo, a new way to turn the blank page into a launchpad. Type or speak your idea, and Rovo will build a structured, high-quality draft, pulling context from across your Confluence pages, Jira projects, Loom recordings and everywhere else you work.
Rovo doesn’t just guess what you need, it understands how your team works, because it’s plugged into Teamwork Graph, Atlassian’s data intelligence layer. It even knows when your idea belongs on a whiteboard, not a document, and will kick things off by adding ideas from related pages and videos. You get a private preview space to refine before you share, where you can ask Rovo to tweak tone, structure, or style. Then, as you brainstorm, Rovo can turn ideas into clusters, text into diagrams, and stickies into Jira work items.
Create with Rovo is also coming to Jira, helping teams go from idea to action in one step.
Just describe what needs doing — “Plan the Q2 launch,” “Review customer feedback from beta,” or “Design the onboarding flow” — and Rovo instantly generates structured, high-quality Jira work items. It pulls in context from Confluence, Loom, and past Jira issues, adds summaries and descriptions that actually make sense, and suggests the right assignee, fields, and labels based on how your team already works.
If you’re starting from a Confluence doc, a Slack message, or even a Loom recap, you can highlight what matters and use Create with Rovo to spin it into a task instantly. It’s like having a teammate who knows your templates, remembers how you did it last time, and can turn loose ideas into organized work without missing a beat.
If Confluence is where ideas are born, Jira is where they take flight. And it's been supercharged with new Rovo powers that feel a little like science fiction.
Now you can:
And when chaos inevitably hits mid-sprint, Rovo Project Management Skills will soon step in with context-aware actions. It spots duplicate tickets, proposes updates, and even drafts your weekly status updates based on what you’ve worked on.
It’s like having a project manager who never sleeps and actually enjoys Jira queries.
Loom has always been our async superpower for video communication, and now it’s even more connected.
Now you can record directly inside Confluence when you want to provide context on a complex topic. Recipients get auto transcribed summaries and you can watch as Rovo turns your walkthrough into searchable, actionable knowledge.
See something broken? Soon you’ll be able to record a quick Loom bug report straight from Jira — console logs and all — and Rovo will help turn it into a work item, complete with description and context.
Beyond async collaboration, Loom is leveling up live meetings too.
With Loom Meetings 2.0, you can add Loom Notetaker to meetings on Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams. Everyone on the meeting can take notes together in one shared space and get recaps (soon in 50+ languages!) And if you zone out mid-call, it can help you catch up live — scrolling back through transcripts or asking questions in real time.
When the meeting wraps, your recap and notes automatically sync to Confluence. Even better, Rovo can update Jira work items with what was discussed in the meeting, so action items never fall through the cracks.
Faster decisions. Fewer follow-ups. Get ready for meetings that actually move work forward.
This one is huge. Soon, you’ll be able to assign work to 3rd-party AI agents directly inside Jira, just like you would a human teammate.
Need a logo resized? Assign it to your Canva agent.
Need analytics from your customer data? Tag the Databricks agent in a comment.
Want a code refactor? Agents from Cursor and GitHub are joining the mix, too.
Agents can even live in your workflow — like an “Insights Reporter” that summarizes linked Confluence pages whenever a card changes status.
These agents don’t replace your team, they scale it. They help you move faster, keep context connected, and free your people for the creative, strategic work.
This one might be my favorite.
With the new Lovable × Confluence integration, teams can turn product ideas into prototypes instantly to get everyone on the same page about what’s being built.
Now, you can send a product requirements document directly from Confluence to Lovable, where AI instantly analyzes the document, generates an interactive prototype, and embeds it right back into Confluence for review and collaboration. It’s powered by Atlassian’s Remote MCP Server, which ensures third-party tools like Lovable can accesses only the right context securely while respecting permissions.
The result? Teams can move from idea to prototype in minutes without ever leaving their workflow.
And it’s seriously changing the game for how quickly teams can turn inspiration into execution.
Not all teamwork happens behind a desk — and now, it doesn’t have to.
With Audio Briefings in Confluence, you can catch up on work like it’s your own personal podcast. Tap the headphones icon, and Rovo transforms long reports or meeting notes into short, personalized audio summaries you can listen to on your commute, a walk, or while making dinner.
It’s about accessibility, not just convenience, ensuring knowledge reaches everyone, however (and wherever) they learn best.
In Jira mobile, AI turns your camera into a tool for capturing ideas on the fly. Snap a photo of a whiteboard, sticky notes, or annotated screenshot, and watch Jira turn it into actionable work items instantly.
The last six months have been about one big idea:
Less time on the work about work. More time on the work that matters.
We’re building toward a world where Jira, Confluence, Loom, and Rovo don’t just connect your workflows — they help your teams think together.
It’s been thrilling to see how teams, like Datasite, are already using Teamwork Collection to launch faster, collaborate deeper, and unlock creativity in new ways.
"Atlassian's tools have truly transformed how our team operates. Utilizing Confluence, Loom, and Rovo has allowed us to accelerate our workflow and consistently stay ahead of our goals. Absolute game changer!"
JR Harrell, EVP, Product Ops, Insights, Strategy & Enablement, Datasite
And the best part? We’re just getting started.
