Centrally view and manage teams in your new teams directory in Atlassian Administration!

 Hi all 👋

We’re excited to introduce the new Teams Directory in AdminHub - a single place to view and manage all your Teams!

What’s new?

The Teams Directory in AdminHub is your new, unified home for all things Teams. With this feature, you can:

  • See all teams in one place: Save time and instantly view all teams across your organization from a single, easy-to-navigate admin directory.

  • Effortlessly manage and update your teams: Edit team names, team description, manage team memberships - all from one central location.

Note: The design may look different if you have the new Atlassian Administration design.

Who can use this?

This feature is only available to organization admins. Currently, this is available to all organizations on centralized user management.

By 13th November, all organizations will have this feature.

We want your feedback!

We’ve heard your feedback for this one and tried to make team management effortless. Please continue sharing!

We’re building towards even more powerful admin controls, including:

  • archived teams (coming this year)

  • team types (MVP coming this year)

  • bulk actions (coming soon)

Let us know what you think, what could be better, and what features you’d love to see next.

This is a great move forward towards making Teams a core feature of all products in the Atlassian ecosystem!

Looking forward to hearing more about "team types". I'm hoping that this will be linked to the proposed Organisational Units feature in JSM to fix Organisations. We had to disable the Organisations feature in JSM as it is not fit for purpose and a security risk. We can't have someone accidently "share" their password reset email to everyone in an organisation of 1000+ people, and we have no control of the "share with" button if we try to use the Organizations feature to allow team to view their teammates requests.

My wish list beyond what you've mentioned in order:

- an improved homepage for the team similar to the summary page of a space, but targeted at teams that work across several Jira / JSM / confluence spaces but more configurable,

- more presence within Jira / JSM space templates, such as including the team field above assignee by default. The Team field is a very useful equivalent to the "assignment group" concept within ServiceNow,

- add support within workflow approval rules (as an alternative to groups),

- add support within existing automation rules,

- allow this to be configured on Jira / JSM notification schemes, as an alternative to groups,

- within Work item security schemes, as an alternative to groups.
