Collections & Apps

Collections (Teamwork, Service, Software, & Strategy)

  • Focus

    • Introducing Custom Fields in Focus ⚡️ You can now add custom fields to your Focus areas! With this feature, you and your team can better capture data relevant to your business processes in Focus, allowing for deeper customization and increased adaptability.

    • New focus areas editor permissions and access request: The new editor permissions for focus areas gives focus area owners direct control of who can edit and follow their focus areas. With editor permissions, you get clearer ownership of focus areas, fewer accidental edits, and a more trust in the accuracy of your data within Focus.

    • Focus Area Update Notifications via Automation: With these additions, your teams can automatically send notifications to Slack channels, Microsoft Teams channels, or email whenever a Focus area update is posted. This helps keep stakeholders informed, improves visibility into progress, and keeps teams aligned on strategic priorities.

  • Talent

    • Introducing Atlassian’s universal HRIS connector: We’re introducing a new way to use Atlassian Strategy Collection with any HR information system (HRIS)! The new universal HRIS connector in Talent lets you bring your positions, people, and organization structure into Atlassian using CSV files stored securely in Amazon S3.

Atlassian Platform

  • Unifying Assets across the Atlassian Platform: Assets is becoming its own Platform App and a core part of Atlassian’s Cloud Platform offering and now you’ll start to see what that really means in your day-to-day work. With this shift, every piece of work gains more context, and every teammate gains speed.

    • Aligning Roles for the Future: The Assets Role Alignment Initiative: As we move towards making Assets a standalone app within the Admin Hub, it’s essential to ensure that all existing users and groups retain the right level of access without disruption. Assets Role Alignment is our one-time process to transition permissions from legacy JSM roles to new, dedicated Assets roles within Atlassian Identity.

    • Introducing Attribute Value Changed automation trigger for Assets: This trigger gives you fine-grained control over your asset management workflows, making it easier than ever to automate processes based on changes to specific asset attributes, without the need for complex workarounds.

  • Introducing team types: manage teams at scale with control and flexibility: This feature makes it easier and safer to organise, govern, and scale teams across your company.

  • How to bulk manage Atlassian Teams notifications: We’ve introduced a way for users and org admins to manage and control these notifications directly via the Atlassian Teams GraphQL API, so org admins can perform bulk operations without flooding their inboxes and users can also better manage their inbox.

  • Join our research study on the look and feel of Atlassian apps: Following the rollout of the full-height sidebar in December, we’re exploring how intentional design choices, like branding, color, and theme settings, shape how teams identify and navigate Atlassian apps across their organization. We’re opening a research study so you (org, site, or product/app admins)can share what matters most when configuring the look and feel of Atlassian apps at scale. (25 min. survey | $25 e-gift card) Feedback Opportunity

  • Guard Rewind: Our 2025 highlight reel, plus a look at what’s next: Last year we focused on capabilities that help you reduce risk while staying efficient. We rolled out more granular controls for data security policies and content redaction to help you stay ahead of threats, along with new automation options so you can spend more time where it matters most. In February, join the virtual event Guard in Action for admins and security pros looking to strengthen cloud security across their Atlassian apps.

Confluence

  • 🔥 Fuel your 2026 with insights from your 2025 Confluence Recap! Confluence Recap is a report on a your usage of Confluence. It will pull your creation stats, viewing stats, and collaboration stats (comments, reactions, etc). Use it to advocate for yourself and prepare for performance reviews and promotions; to look back on your year and be proud of all you’ve contributed; and to see who your right-hand collaborators are.

  • Live Docs: Live docs help fill a gap that exists due to how page drafts work. Community Champion

  • Calling Interview Participants for Confluence Admin Access & Policy: We're talking with Confluence administrators about how they run Confluence at their organization—who gets access, how it’s managed, and where mobile access fits (or doesn’t) into their approach. (60 min. call | $100 e-gift card) Feedback Opportunity

Jira

  • 🎤 Your Next Standup Just Got Easier - Try Standups in Jira! We’re excited to introduce a new way to run your daily standups, right from your Jira Software board! The standups feature is built to help your daily syncs run more efficiently and fit naturally into how your team already operates.

  • Simplifying Jira business boards: In an effort to bridge the gap between software and business spaces, we’re bringing more power to business boards, and simplifying the way you view the work, making it easier to find what you need.

  • Jira seasonal releases coming soon: Jira will adopt a new seasonal release cycle in 2026. This is intended to create several predictable moments through the year where major user-facing features will be shipped. We believe the result should be easier to plan for, reduce surprises, and ensure a higher quality experience when features land.

  • Add cover images to your work items: Now you can personalize your work items by adding a cover image that reflects your team’s identity, highlights important work, or simply adds a bit of fun and visual flair to your workspace.

  • Help improve work item creation in Jira: Aditi Sarangi is a Product Manager on Jira and is looking to chat with a few admins about how you configure the work item creation experience. Your feedback will help shape ideas we’re exploring to make work creation faster and easier in Jira. (30 min. call | $75 e-gift card) Feedback Opportunity

  • If you accessed the Bite Size Learning video series for Jira Plans, you saw how you can bring work from multiple projects and teams into one place. Now, we’re making it easier to bring the rest of your org along for the ride. We’ve created a free, downloadable presentation that you can use to introduce Jira Plans to your stakeholders, team leads, and project managers – no need to start from scratch. ➡️ Download from the Jira Admin Resources Hub (Note: use the search bar or filter for ‘Presentation’ under asset type.) Premium & Enterprise

Jira Product Discovery

  • 📣 Feature improvement - introducing more granular admin permissions in JPD: In this first milestone, we’re introducing the ability to separate some key admin actions, including managing workflows, managing space fields and work types, copying a space, managing watchers, and editing reporters.

  • Help shape how Rovo + JPD work together: We’re exploring how Rovo can be leveraged in JPD to support your day-to-day and strategic product work. Your input will directly inform our roadmap and which AI-powered features we explore first for Jira Product Discovery. (5-7 minute survey) Feedback Opportunity

  • JPD Resource Roundup (July '25 – Jan '26): Here’s a look at the research and content we’ve published over the last six months!

  • New Guides

    • Creating a Leadership Roadmap: Use this view to communicate the "30,000-foot view", demonstrating how work aligns with business goals without getting lost in delivery status or details.

    • Delivery Tracker: This provides a real-time bird's-eye view of execution and is designed to keep stakeholders informed on development status without overwhelming them with work item-level noise.

    • Lightweight Resource planning: Use this framework to identify oversubscribed squads and adjust the roadmap before work begins. It is ideal for a broad, high-level overview, rather than detailed capacity tracking.

    • Mastering prioritization with RICE: Use this template to remove bias, identify "low-hanging fruit" (High Impact/Low Effort), and spot risky bets before development begins.

    • Quarterly planning: Use this view to debate trade-offs and clearly mark items as "Committed." Once finalized, you can publish this live view to align stakeholders on the quarter's plan without relying on static, outdated slide decks.

Jira Service Management

  • Streamline your work across multiple spaces with the new list in Multi-space work: The new list in Multi-space work in JSM helps you manage work items across multiple spaces in one place. List is now available alongside board and calendar views, giving you even more ways to visualize and organize your work items.

  • What’s new for Automation in JSM January 2026: Whether you’re routing incidents based on severity, automating cloud changes, or standardizing approval flows, these enhancements give you finer control over how your workflows run and where they reach.

  • Help us improve the JSM help center experience: We’re working on improvements to the JSM help center experience and we'd love to get your inputs! Feedback Opportunity

  • Using JSM for recruitment? We want to hear from you! We’re keen to speak with customers using JSM for recruitment workflows today; Partners who have helped customers implement recruitment processes on JSM; and anyone considering using JSM alongside an ATS or scheduling tool and willing to share how you’re thinking about it. Feedback Opportunity

  • Sign up for closed early access to JSM surveys: This new capability allows you to collect feedback from employees directly where work is already happening in JSM without needing to bolt on separate survey tools. We’re looking for customers who use (or plan to use) Jira Service Management for HR, People or Ops workflows. EAP

  • Get Early Access to Rovo Service request resolution & Employee Live Chat in JSM: Through Rovo Service – our AI agent that helps you deflect, respond to, and resolve service requests – we’re delivering two new capabilities that empower your team to resolve requests faster with AI-generated, step-by-step resolution plans directly inside Jira Service Management work items; and support employees in real-time with live chat that seamlessly transitions employees from self-service requests in your JSM portal to live human agent support. Beta

  • AI Change Risk Assessment in JSM: This new capability enables you to instantly score and explain change risk, uncover hidden dependencies and patterns, and get AI‑driven recommendations to safely move changes forward. EAP, Premium & Enterprise
