Hello Everyone!
It’s that time once again to take a look at everything that has happened in the past month! From major events, to product announcements, to amazing people providing great tips & best practices to help the Community, I guarantee there is something here for everyone. Let’s get started!
As always, there are a TON of amazing things happening and here is just a small sample of all the great things you don’t want to miss out on!
First up, are some changes to the Community. New as of August, anyone who earns the “Rising Star“ badge next to their name will automatically have article writing privileges. And, if you have ever created a “draft article“, and can never find it again, there is a new options menu that will allow you to access them.

What's New in Jira Service Management - August 2023
Moving up to the Organization level, it is now possible for Org Admins to change and/or manage “Teams“. If you haven’t heard, Atlas is the new home for Teams across all products and giving your Org Admins some level of control over their membership is a “must have“ improvement.
🙌 Organization admins can now change or manage any team
And, while we are talking about managing users and groups in your Atlassian Cloud Organization. Very soon you will also be able to do this for all of your Bitbucket Users and Groups. YAY!
Unified User Management is coming soon to Bitbucket Cloud
I know one of the biggest challenges in adoption of Assets at my company (and maybe your company as well) has been the lack of ability to surface Assets in Confluence pages. The old Mindville app had a Confluence Macro and the lack of this for JSM Assets has been very noticeable. However, fear not! Atlassian has an Early Access program you can sign up for to try out their new solution for this. Personally I can wait. Details on how to sign up are in the article.
🛬 Early access: surface Assets in Confluence Cloud!
Finally for this month, You can now view your Atlas goals in Jira Software. In an effort to bring the information in both of these products together there is now a goals tab where you can see the goals your Epics are linked to. I think this is going to go a long way to making this products work very well together.
You can now view your goals in Jira Software!
