Why does Trello keep changing my due dates immediately after setting due date in the past

I have been trying to sort out trello. Im using big picture to visualize the board. When i add a date that is in the past as a due date, trello immediately changes that due date to a date that is 2 days ago. How do i prevent this from happening?
