Hello Everyone!

It’s that time once again to take a look at everything that has happened in the past month (I can’t believe how many things I missed myself)! From major events, to product announcements, to amazing people providing great tips & best practices to help the Community, I guarantee there is something here for everyone. Let’s get started!

Announcements & Highlights:

As always, there are a TON of amazing things happening and here is just a small sample of all the great things you don’t want to miss out on!

• Frist up, unfortunately is yet another CVE warning. This one is specifically for Jira Service Management Server and Data Center. • Next, did you miss out on Atlassian Presents: Unleash? It was an awesome event (even digitally)! @Rodney Nissen - ReleaseTEAM has created a great recap of everything that was announced. • Speaking of events, we have already talking about Team '23 registration having been open for a bit now. But did you know that there will be Atlassian University Live training sessions? As someone who has done these in the past, I can say that the added benefit of being able to hear questions and answers from other students live is invaluable! • Have you seen the Cloud and Data Center roadmaps? • Lastly, I have an awesome use case for you provided by @Nadia. You should read through this informative article that describes how to use a separate Jira Project as a “Release Center“ to manage all of your software releases. New Features & Product Updates:

• First, have you heard of or seen beacon? This is another Point A product that will provide threat detection and alerting for your Atlassian Cloud products. Are you interested? • Next, Atlassian is in the process of rolling out a new “Billing Engine“ for the Cloud products. This will provide you with a unified interface to manage all of your Atlassian Cloud products within a single interface. Additionally there will be a new “Billing Administrator“ role added that you can use to provide access to the billing and manage subscription details while separating out other Admin functions. • I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am about this next one! Coming soon (probably as of this post going live) Org Admins in Atlassian Cloud environments will be able to rename groups! Yes the request that has been open for almost 20 years is finally being addressed! Now, before you get too excited, there is a “but“. This will only be available in the improved user management UI, which hasn’t been rolled out to all customers yet. For those of you on the improved UI, rejoice you can now rename groups without having to create a brand new group. • Do you love Confluence? Do you love using it for all of your scratch notes? You might want to check out and join the early access program for “Private Notes“. This new feature will allow you to quickly jot down some note without having to worry about restricting the access before saving it. • Jira Service Management is getting a “Customer“ role in the near future. The next feature in a series designed to help improve ease of administration for internal and external customers within JSM. • Next, Bamboo 9.2 LTS for Data Center is now available! I think I have mentioned in the past that I love Bamboo and this is the first LTS (long term support) release in the history of Bamboo. • Compass now supports custom fields of the “user“ type.
