Hello Everyone!

It’s that time once again to take a look at everything that has happened in the past month! From major events (<cough>TEAM '23<cough>), to product announcements, to amazing people providing great tips & best practices to help the Community, I guarantee there is something here for everyone. Let’s get started!

Announcements & Highlights:

As always, there are a TON of amazing things happening and here is just a small sample of all the great things you don’t want to miss out on!

• First up, let’s talk Team '23! @Rodney Nissen aka “The Jira Guy“ have put together a great montage of everything that was announced at Team '23. • If you have followed a number of the Welcome Wednesday posts, you will know that on occasion we cover the Work Check podcast! Would you like to know all the secret tips on how to run your own version? I know I do! • The legendary team tour was fantastic when it made it’s way through a number of local Atlassian Community Events chapters. • For those of you that regularly contribute to questions in the online community, you are likely familiar with Atlassian’s public bug/suggestion tracker jira.atlassian.com (“JAC“). Atlassian is making some changes to the way in which new items will be added there. • New in the Online community, you will now be able to hover over the lozenge next to someone’s new (like my Community Leader one) and it will give you a short description of what that person’s role is within the community. • Community Leaders are volunteers to freely give their spare time to help others because they are passionate about the Atlassian tools and the community and ecosystem that surrounds them. This month we are learning more about @Sam Nadarajan and the amazing work he is doing both online and in the Benin City & Delhi-Gurugram local events chapters. • We are probably all familiar with Agile concepts and how to use them to deliver software. New Features & Product Updates:

• First, we don’t normally see Early Access Programs for Atlassian Access. • Next, do you want to be able to access Jira training without ever having to leave your Jira instance? Well, do I have great news for you! Now you can do just that! With a new Marketplace app developed by Atlassian’s University team that allows you to take university courses without ever having to leave Jira. • Yes, another beta/early access program (get used to seeing lots of these). This time it’s Jira’s command palette! Think of it like the ultimate shortcut for getting to the commands and actions you want to execute. Sounds interesting? • While were talking about Jira Work Management, do you know the differences between it and Jira Software? I thought I did, but there’s actually so much more that Jira Work Management is capable of than I realized. • I wanted to share this one because it felt really cool to me. This is something new in both the Cloud and DC versions of Bitbucket where comments on pull requests are now resolvable. • There were a ton of really cool announcements for Compass at Team ‘23, including the expected pricing. • Lastly, one of the features announced at Team '23 that I was caught off guard by, but am very looking forward to trying is Confluence Whiteboards. I think this is going to be extremely valuable to my company based on the use cases we have.
