Hello Everyone!
It’s that time once again to take a look at everything that has happened in the past month! From major events, to product announcements, to amazing people providing great tips & best practices to help the Community, I guarantee there is something here for everyone. Let’s get started!
As always, there are a TON of amazing things happening and here is just a small sample of all the great things you don’t want to miss out on!
If you missed it, you will want to take action as soon as possible. Near the beginning of December, Atlassian posted multiple critical vulnerabilities. As I have said in the past, and I’ll say again, please check to see if they affect you and do everything you need to in order to protect yourself and your company.

As of writing this article, Community notification emails are still being marked as spam. Hopefully this has been corrected as of this being published. If not, don’t forget you can use your activity feed in the community to help you keep up to date on things.

The end of a community era is upon us. The old badge system is going away as kudos is the future. If you have been around long enough to have earned at least 50 of the old badges. You will be awarded a special kudos badge in honour of the old system.

What’s better than sharing some great moments from 2023? Sharing those moments for a great cause. Every comment helped clean 10 pounds of plastic form the ocean and provided a wonderful look at some of the best memories from the past year.

Did you know that there was an open community social event? Were you able to attend? I unfortunately was celebrating my daughter's birthday, but I hope everyone had a wonderful time, and hopefully this will be something we’ll see more often in the future!

Atlassian’s upcoming event Team Tour: Government is looking for people with excellent stories to share. As of this article being published, there are still a couple of days left to get your submissions in.

Atlassian Presents: Unleash happened at the beginning of December in Amsterdam. Where you able to be there live? If not, you have another opportunity, a number of local Atlassian Community will be hosting mini Unleash post events through the month of January. Be sure to check and see if there is one close by as you won’t want to miss it.

Finally, there is a new series of virtual events coming in the new year. A number of people who regularly create content will be hosting a number of live learning sessions about getting started with a number of the Atlassian products. First up, in case you missed the big announcement at Unleash, Atlassian Intelligence is now Generally Available. It looks like it will be available for Premium or Enterprise plans, however anyone that was a part of the beta on Free or Standard will still have access to AI features until June 30th, 2024.

Next, there are a number of new things that have come out for Confluence Cloud in the past quarter. Be sure to check out the article for features you could start taking advantage of.

Continuing with Confluence Cloud changes, as of December 14th, there is now a 100 item limit on any move operation that is performed. If you (like me) have been known to moved large page trees, you are going to want to come up with a plan for this going forward from now on.

Next, there are new slash commands that will allow you to create Jira issues or other Confluence pages directly from a Confluence page or comment.

Over on the Jira side of things, you are now able to create Confluence pages without having to leave your Jira issue. I love these tighter integrations that allow you to continue working where you are without having to leave.

Also in Jira, you can now find Atlas goals. You can find these displayed in your Advanced Roadmaps plans which will be very helpful during planning.

Over in Jira Service Management, Custom domains for help centers, new reporting capabilities for Assets & the Virtual Agent moving to GA are just a few of the new features you can take advantage of. Be sure to read the full article for all the other great things that are available.

Jira Work management has new templates for nonprofit program management. If this is something you are currently working on or considering starting soon, you might want to have a peek and see if JWM might be the right type of project for you.
