I'd like to use an IMG tag inside a javadoc to link to an image embedded in a confluence page. If I use "image link" on the browser, I get a "blob:..." URL, which I can't use outside of this page.

So, how do I access an image embedded in a page outside of Confluence?

Thanks (using Confluence Cloud)

Hi Andrej, welcome to the Community!

Here's how to get a standard image URL you're looking for in Confluence Cloud:

  1. On the page where the image is attached, click the '...' menu in the top-right and select Attachments
    image.png
  2. For the photo you want to link to, right-click it and copy the address from the Attachments page
    image.png

Note that if the page it's attached to isn't anonymous, the image will require authorization when trying to view it. If you're logged in to Confluence and try to view the page, it will work fine. But people who aren't logged in to your Confluence site (or don't have access to the page) will see a broken image instead of the embed.

Cheers,
Daniel
