We would like to standardise pages in a space by utilising a template and want to ensure page status is set every time a page is created in this space. It doesn't appear to be possible to include the status as part of the template. Does anyone know how we can ensure it is set when new pages are created? Is there a space setting or an automation I can use? Looking forward to any insights you can share :) Thank you!
Indeed you cannot set a status on a page template.
My advise could be to create an automation rule based on the following trigger :
And then apply a page status to the pages matching the trigger.
Regards,
Thanks @Cyrille Martin ,
The idea of an automation did come to me whilst I was writing this question, so I did go ahead and create one. We are using the same naming convention on the title of the page, it starts with a three letter sequence (JPD idea id) so I managed to create the automation based on the creation of a page with that in the title. Thanks for thinking along and confirming there is no way to do this in the template. Appreciate your help!

Adding page status in the template is one smart way to improve workflow visibility and tracking. It keeps content updates organized while ensuring people stay on the same page.
