Get field request type from Service Desk

Pascal Uhe
August 22, 2018

Hello,

we are trying to clone and link a issue. In this cloned issue we want to set a Request type which is not the same like the original one. We mean the request type field of a Jira Service Desk request.

Thanks
Pascal

Hello Pascal,

In order to change the Request Type of a Service Desk issue, it should be mapped to the related Issue Type of the issue.

To check what Request types are mapped to each issue type you can navigate to your Project > Project Settings > Request Types.

If the request type you are trying to change your issue to does not match with the issue type, you will need to map it properly or change the issue type of your issue.

Please, let me know if this information helps.

Not quite.

We have to copy and link an issue to a new one. That copy (other issue type) should get another request type. We don't want to change the existing one...
