Customize and maintain CSS in Jira

I notice that Jira regularly changes the className of it's elements and uses random strings to define them (sc-cPUNzw iljAIt), making any browser-based css changes useless. Is it possible to otherwise customize CSS on Jira?

No, and custom css is in no way supported.   I would simply stop trying to do it, you could be creating (pointless) work for your developers as often as every 4 weeks.

I'm definitely not going to stop doing it - The usability of Jira is improved by making what are small and quick changes to the CSS. Doing this every time a className is changed is a pain though.

Ok, there's a number of things here.

• Your first link points to a 6-year-old link to doing custom CSS in a Server app.  Not Cloud, which has a totally different framework
• Your second link points to Confluence, which is a totally different service to Jira
• My point about "supported" is not "you can't do it", as that's not strictly true.  It is that "if you do it, and it might be suspected of causing problems, Atlassian will require you to remove it before they will provide any support".  I know I was not clear on that, sorry.
• If you are going to keep trying to do this, could you explain how you propose to support re-implementing changes every 4-6 weeks in an efficient way?
