Hello Everyone,
I hope you all have recovered from your sugar crash yesterday! There is another great batch of articles for you to check out this month. So let’s not waste anymore time and dive into the everything I have for you:
I think everyone is well aware that I generally try to stay away from the Apps & Integrations collection. This isn’t because there isn’t really great content in there (quite the opposite actually). I don’t want to be accused of playing favorites. However, I think it’s fair for me to recognize that October was “Apptoberfest“ and there are TONS of great articles written by our Marketplace Vendors and Solutions Partners that are worth reading. Go check out the Marketplace Apps & Integrations collection! https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Marketplace-Apps-Integrations/Apptoberfest-2022-is-here/ba-p/2146233
In case you missed it, all Bitbucket accounts that aren’t tied to an Atlassian Account have been deactivated. You’ll want to read the article for details, but it looks like this will only affect people who had a Bitbucket account that hasn’t been used since 2017. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Bitbucket-articles/Deactivation-of-user-accounts-that-lack-an-Atlassian-account/ba-p/2169213
Back by popular demand, Atlassian’s High Velocity ITSM event will be happening again this year. There will be an in person event on December 8th in London and a digital experience happening globally on December 13th. Be sure to get your free tickets today!https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management-articles/Join-us-for-Atlassian-Presents-High-Velocity-ITSM/ba-p/2159245
Speaking of big Atlassian Events, Atlassian is now accepting submissions for Team ‘23! For anyone that has submitted a speaking pitch, good luck!https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Official-Atlassian-Events/Now-accepting-submissions-Team-23-Call-for-Speakers/ba-p/2160925
Atlas was given it’s official launch name at Team '22 and it was stated that it would be leaving beta “soon“ and would be free of charge at launch. Atlassian has now announced new paid plans for Atlas with additional features. If you have started using Atlas and you want to see what you can do to “level up“ your experience, go check out these new offerings!https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Atlas-articles/Atlas-just-launched-paid-plans-and-is-officially-out-of-Beta/ba-p/2161297
Atlassian just released their new Annual Security report. Do you want to know how they did in the past year? Go check out this article and the related links to their detailed Incident and Bug Bounty reports. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Trust-Security-articles/July-2021-June-2022-Annual-Security-Incident-Report/ba-p/2159810
Since we are already talking about security, this felt like the right time to point out that Atlassian has a new Point A product for you to try called “Beacon“. If you are looking for more detailed security monitoring and report for your Atlassian Cloud products, this is something you might want to take a closer look at (I know I will be).https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Feedback-Forum-articles/You-re-invited-to-try-our-new-security-monitoring-tool-Beacon/ba-p/2160587
New from the Atlassian University, their entire library of on-demand paid courses are now just $39 USD each. If you have been putting off taking that course you thought might be helpful but it was too costly, now’s the time to check them out. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Training-Certification-articles/Wallet-friendly-pricing-is-here-Paid-on-demand-courses-are-now/ba-p/2167488
Speaking of Atlassian University courses, what’s better than cheap courses? FREE COURSES! There is a new Intro to JQL in Jira Software course available that is completely free. This is one of the topics I need to help people with the most so I highly recommend it for anyone that isn’t already a JQL ninja. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Training-Certification-articles/Learn-advanced-search-with-JQL-in-Jira-Software-Free-30-minute/ba-p/2171788
Last, but certainly not least is our amazing #JiraHeroes story for this month. Buckle up and make sure your sitting down for this one it’s going to take you on a wild ride as Dave Fey shares the impressive story of getting multiple teams to standardize on a since issue tracking tool (Jira) and whole process it took to get everyone speaking the same language and starting to use more standard ways of work for the same types of tasks!https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-articles/Jira-Heroes-How-Dave-Fey-leveraged-workflows-to-improve/ba-p/2165140
