Can't reorder issues in the backlog view

I can't simply drag issues up or down in JIRA next gen backlog view.

I've checked that it works fine in mobile app. This was working fine and stopped working recently.

I've turned on all features, using latest. Safari browser on Mac. Tested on other browsers and issue is persistent.

Any idea what's happening? Thank you

Same problem. Also can't drag issues to a sprint.

I am experiencing the same issue with next gen project backlogs. I am able to reorder backlog issues in classic projects.

A bug was logged as the result of a different version of this same question. Looks like a fix has already been pushed. It is working for me now.

Did you check the Ranking. It should be enabled in the filter.

not fixed, definitely broken, really unfortunate.

Safari Version 14.0.3 (14610.4.3.1.7)

Same here - can't do the thing in the backlog that the backlog is literally designed for.

Can't even drag any issues into a Sprint
