mat w December 2, 2019

hi,

i have a custom field which is a checkbox, this has a default value set to it. since this custom field was added every issues raised (even for project outside of the schema so user have not been able to set the field) have the default value see.

You can see this if you do a search across all projects.

How is this possible and how has this happened?

thanks

mat

If you have a default value set on the custom field then it will be created for all new issues.  However, you can restrict the projects and issue types for which the custom field is available by editing the default context, in the custom field configuration.

Hello,

You need to create a context for your customfield, so theses default values will only be available for the project and issue type that you set in the context.

Hope this helps.
