I want to add custom fields to Issue types which are currently in use in a project. A number of tickets have already been created using Issue types in their existing format, which do not have my intended custom fields. If I add my custom fields to the Issue types, will the layout of the previously created tickets be impacted by the addition of the new custom fields.

If I'm not wrong, even if you add new fields to issue types they will not be visible in issue view page unless they hold any data(it's applicable for new and already created tickets)
