While using automation to clone a record from board-1 to board-2, can I bring the attachments along?

   While using an automation to clone a record from board-1 to board-2, I would like to bring the attachments from the source record to the newly cloned record.
   I'm not seeing a function available to do this.  Does anyone have a solution that has worked for them?

Hi, @John Driscoll - unfortunately this isn't possible at this time. There isn't an API for handling attachments, which means automation rules can't do it. There's an open ticket in Atlassian's Jira; please watch and vote for it to get updates.

If you want to clone issues along with attachments, you could try our Jira cloud app Deep Clone for Jira.

You can automate cloning with Deep Clone by either:

• Adding a Deep Clone post-function
• Or integrate Deep Clone with Jira Automation
