When I add a custom field on Jira issue View screen only, that field is not visible on issue view

When I add a custom field on Jira issue View screen only, that field is not visible on issue view.

When I add the same field on Edit screen, then only its getting visible on ticket view.

But I need to make the field Readonly, hence I dont wanna configure on Edit screen.

This is for Jira Software Company Managed project.

Can someone throw some light here please.

did you configure the issue layout and show the field on the context area?

Have you associated the custom field with the View Only screen yet? I would recommend checking the field association to see where the new field gets displayed.

I've already associated the concerned field to view screen.
