View Allocation vs Capacity in Plans using Custom field grouping and sub-tasks
Using Jira cloud, we are having different teams (web, backend...) working on a story issuetype.
The teams are breaking their work to sub-tasks and providing effort estimation for the sub-tasks using story points.
In order to know which team is responsible for each sub-task of that story, we update the group name in a customized field we call iTeam.
We cannot use the Jira Team field for sub-tasks since it can't be changed on a sub-task level.
Now, When coming to use the Plans, we'd like to view the of allocation vs planning.
This is available when using Jira Team field as group by - see image #1.
However, when using the customized iTeam field for grouping and the effort estimation on the sub-tasks, we don't get the same results - see image #2.
1. Is there a solution for it using Plans?
2. Other alternatives viewing capacity vs allocation when effort estimations are on sub-tasks?
