Understanding different roles within company managed project settings

Hi All! 

I would like to gain better understanding of the roles and responsibilities within the projects section to better determine the roles which we would be providing. Where would I be able to gain a better understanding of the roles (and project based specific roles) in jira?

Hi Brenda - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Project Roles are primarily used for assigning Permissions using the Permission Scheme associated with the project. Different project roles can have different permissions for the project.
