Standard Customer Field

Is there a standard field in Jira for tracking customer name or is this a custom field that needs to be created if you want a place to store it?

we don't have a standard customer field in our Jira installation, but you can easily create one with a custom field.

To track your customers I believe you have to create a Custom Field for it. 

Reading the documentation of Jira Cloud, you can see what are the native fields:
