Restrict a custom field to EDIT except for admins

Hi,

We have a custom field and we want to restrict the field to edit by any users or any group except for Admins. Is this possible?

Hello Nagendra,

The best approach here would be remove the field from the edit screen, create a screen with the field you want and edit the workflow by adding a new transition it.

The transition should contain the following:

• The screen with the custom field on it
• Go back to the same status
• Have conditions that only allow people you want to edit the field to use it, you can use by project role here.

Currently, this is the best way to solve your questions. Otherwise, if you want to solve both the view and the edit problem, you should use an add-on:
