Matching articles in Confluence to issues in Jira Service Desk? Please help

Hi all,

I have tried to search in posts here in the community but cannot find what I am looking for. Hope you can  help.

We use Jira Service Desk in our work with support services to hundreds of customers. Each customer has their own project and each project has a Confluence space attached.

In Confluence we have put up a number of articles. But these do not appear on issues for our assignees inside  JSD the way we expect.

  1. How is the matching done between the article and the issue, to display the link to the article?
  2. Why do issues sometimes show a link to the entire space and not to an article?
