So my organization has a process in which we used to send emails to external customer who didn't have a license. Those customers would receive attachments from the issue. What I currently have is a Jira Automation which includes those attachments as an ordered list and a hyperlinks. If a user is external, they can't actually download those at all because they don't have a license or access to the instance.
I then resorted to Scriptrunner for Jira Cloud. From what I've read, it may not be possible to send email attachments using their functionality either. The sources I found reflecting that were from 2020 so things have most likely changed since then. Before I found that source, I was checking the documentation but none specifically referenced how to include attachments.
Does anyone here have a clue on how to include attachments in emails for external users or is this something we all just have to bite the bullet on for now until Atlassian provides an update?
Thanks!

Please check this article, it can help you.
Download attachments via a secured link
Hi Hana
Thanks for providing that documentation. From what I've read, that may be the best solution. Is this "secure link" something I can reference in a Jira Automation?
Thanks!
