I am creating an issue and add attachments to it. I then add a comment to the issue, which includes a link to those attachments - the content element. When some of my customers try to download these attachments, they get an error (no permission). I got the same error message when I open the ticket on an incognito window.
The best answer I was able to find is this: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Linking-inline-image-to-attachment-using-API/qaq-p/1980564
However, I am creating those issues on Apex (Salesforce) not sure how to get the redirect address.
Is there any other way to get the real ID of the attachment?
Is there a better way to add the link so it can be accessed anonymously?
Thank you for your help!
Hi @Ofer Elyakim and welcome to the Atlassian Community.
As per my knowledge, this feature is not available and there is an opened ticket about this issue.
Hope this helps. If the issue is resolved, you can vote and accepted for this comment.

Thank you for your reply Murat,
Is there a way to add a thumbnail of an attachment that is already on the ticket to a comment via api?
My issue is not with allowing anyone to download it, it's more that if I add the 'Content' field of the attachment, it's not allowing my customers to download the attachment. They are logged in via sso)
I know how to do it manually, but i'm looking for a way to do it via api.
Thank you,
Ofer
