How can i make the link type used recently for the particular issue as default for the second time?

Hi All

After creating issue if I click on link issue and link another issue with the type "Contributes to", then if I am clicking on the link issue again to link other issue then the default link type selected should be "Contributes to" please help me in achieving this.

Hi Sunilkumar,

In Jira Cloud, Atlassian does not allow a default link type to be set or to have the default link type be the previously used link type on an issue as they do not provide these features.

The link type which appears as the default is the one which appears alphabetically on the Issue Linking page.

This means the only way to have a default and control the order in which they appear is to put numbers in front of their names as mentioned in the community answer here.
