How can I show a custom number field on a Dashboard

I have a custom number field for sizing on our ticketing project issues.  I would like this field to show on our Dashboard, however even after selecting the filter, this field does not seem to appear in any of the dashboard gadgets.  Is there a way to add a gadget showing my custom field?  Thank you.

Hi @Deenie Petros,

I am Marlene from codefortynine.

You can check try out our app Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards.

Our app is be able to show statistics for all kinds of number fields. It's also possible to sum up custom number fields with the following gadgets: "Quick Issue Statistics", "Quick Two Dimensional Filter Statistics" and "Quick Pie Chart".

Hi @Deenie Petros , are you using a Company managed project? What gadgets have you tried?

@Jack Brickey So the Filter Results gadget works...just shows the issue and the column I want, but what we're trying to do is a workaround until we get JIRA premium.  I am an admin on the project so I can edit that.  I added a story points field, which is a number field.  We want to then on the dashboard, show filter results and be able to sort by or at least show the total number of points from the results of the filter I created.

There isn’t a means of illustrating the sum of a number field across issues using gadgets.

Might I ask why you created a story point field if there is a default field for that?

We added a field as this is a ticketing board and we didn't see that field as an option, or see a way to enable sprints on this project.  It works on other kanban boards we use, but wanted it for this specific one.

Hi @Deenie Petros ,

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Default story point field aside, OOTB you are not gonna be able to achieve your goal. Recalled and found an older post that addresses this request that you may wish to review. In that post Andy provides a link to a suggestion that you may wish to vote and follow. How-to-see-the-summed-up-value-for-a-custom-numeric-field...

JRACLOUD-38111 - Sumable custom field in dashboard gadget

You may wish to peruse the marketplace for options. There are several add-ons that extend the capabilities of Atlassian dashboards. I haven't personally used any of these so can't recommend any specific one.
