How can I get time in status for a issue?

Most specifically, for an issue I want to see how long (and each time) that issue spends in a particular status (or statuses).

The min would be to see how the start and end date for an issue in, eg, In Progress.

The ideal would be a graphical timeline showing time spent in all the statuses it moved through

JIRA Suite Utilities (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.googlecode.jira-suite-utilities) has that functionality. Else, you might want to create one.

Once JIRA Suite Utilities is installed, you'll notice a transitions tab where the time in status will be reflected accordingly.

Is that possible to fetch Time In Status through API?

I have got JSU, I can see transition tab with details

But I am looking for same thing using JQL or filters

Do you know how we can get this details

Hi, @Simon Hill2
You can make reports showing how long specified issues stayed in each status using the add-on "Time in Status for Jira Cloud".
It allows you to follow the workflow, to detect possible gaps or successes, and respond to them timely.
Hope it helps
