How can I get time in status for a issue?

Most specifically, for an issue I want to see how long (and each time) that issue spends in a particular status (or statuses).

The min would be to see how the start and end date for an issue in, eg, In Progress.

The ideal would be a graphical timeline showing time spent in all the statuses it moved through

Once JIRA Suite Utilities is installed, you'll notice a transitions tab where the time in status will be reflected accordingly.

I have got JSU, I can see transition tab with details

But I am looking for same thing using JQL or filters

JIRA Suite Utilities (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.googlecode.jira-suite-utilities) has that functionality. Else, you might want to create one.
