How can I create a new field/criteria for the forecasted closing date?

For a new task, I can define a date at which the task shall be closed. I would like to have an additional field where the owner can type in the current forecast for the date when the task will be closed. Can anyone help please?

Answer accepted

Add a new date or date time custom field and then add it to the approprate screen. More info here.
