Gitlab Integration - Transition doesn't work

I have a gitlab repository and I've properly integrated with Jira. Every time I commit mentioning the Issue Id, I can see a comment inside the issue as below:

Although I can see this comment, the issue doesn't go to "done" status. Also no time is logged at all.

My user email in git config is the same as Jira's and I have admin role on this project.

There are different ways to integrate Jira with GitLab and I am not sure which one you are using since this can make some difference. Can you kindly provide more details or just a link to the instructions you have followed to set the integration?
