Can you add the Parent field to the request form view in a Service Mgmt project?

Is it possible to add the Parent field to the request form view in a Service Management Project ?

Hi Kim,

No, that's not currently possible. You might could create a custom field but it would not be able to validate that the issue key entered is the correct one. But guide the users to enter the issue key only, for example, ABC-123.

Then you would use automation to update the parent field with this value. That's all very clunky and not sure it would be a suitable solution.

Strange thing is, I have request types where the parent field is in the request form. (don't ask me how, i created the requests a long time ago, could also be, that it was possible in the on prem version and the requests where migrated to saas).
I use them as a hidden field, with a standard parent.
Now I have a second team and Jira SD and I want to do the same but unfortunately it's not possible (anymore?).
