Hi everyone. I work with multiple teams and multiple platforms. One of these platforms has 2 members in the development team which participate in 2 different areas. I have access to the second platform and i want to know if is possible to create a clone task in my dashboard taking into account the same task in their other team. This is required in order to track the effort in the other project just ensuring that is completely updated. Please let me know if there is a misunderstanding in my english.

Hello @Juan Ramos ,

You can accomplish this using Automation for Jira using a global rule.

Basically set the trigger criteria that will occur on the source issue then use a branch rule to set conditions and execute an action in the issue on the alternate project.

There are a bunch of examples in the "Jira automation template library " that you can uset to get an idea of how to get the rule started, and let me know some more about the specifics if you get stuck and i can help out,

One more thing to point out though is that global rules are resource-intensive and while you can execute unlimited project level rules do be aware of the execution limits that are in place for Global rules to prevent performance degradation the rules can cause at specific tiers,  where a global rule is any action that interacts with more than one project at a time, this is covered in the "Explore Jira Cloud plans"  documentation noting the following so make sure to set up the rule within the allotted execution limits for the planned monthly time the rule could be executed:

Automate any task or process with just a few clicks. With Global and multi-project automation you can automate across as many projects as you need with a single rule. Learn more.

Customers on Free and Standard plans have access to a limited monthly trial allotment of global and multi project rule executions (100 and 500 per month, respectively).

Premium users have 1000 global and multi-project rule executions per paid user per month. Ex: 200 users in Jira Cloud Premium will have 200,000 monthly global/multi-project rule executions per month. This is pooled across all Jira tools and all users. Enterprise users have access to unlimited automation executions.

Regards,
Earl
