My organization recently completed the HIPAA implementation including tagging Jira Software and Jira Service Management and as expected our email notifications have changed
Previously the email notifications would display the ticket name, ticket comments, attachments if they were images were show in body or subject of the email notification
Now, email notifications limit information and there are broken image links
Most of the Jira users understand and accept the changes to the email notifications as it was explained in the Jira HIPAA implementation instructions
But, our Jira Work Management users did not expect to their email notifications to be changed, only Jira Software and Jira Service Management.
Is this to be expected? Should all emails from Jira, even the Jira Work Management project email notifications that are not tagged as HIPAA compliance products?
If this is expected, what's the best workaround? In this community question, https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management/Internal-Notification-Emails-dont-include-Summary-after/qaq-p/2566421, there is a recommendation is to use a plugin
Any other suggestions or feedback?
Hi @Ryan Jones
I am sorry I do not have any answer for your question but I do have a question for you regarding your implementation of the HIPPA requirement for JSM. I posted my
question for the community but I have not gotten the answer I am expecting yet.
With that said, could you let me know if you had to configure jira to look for a certain key words or indicators to make the redaction in the emails and notifications or jira provided a template for how the redaction would look like?
I appreciate any help you can provide me on this.
