Hi @Rasajna Meka 

You can't really know out of the box. If you want another solution that would be to store the previous issue type (its name) on a custom field on each issue.

• You create a text field (or a signle select if you want)
• You place that field on the view screen of all your issue types
• Create an automation (JA or a listener) to copy the value of the issue type name to your new text custom field, whenever that field is changed
