We want to give users list of issues of particular type and status to choose only one (and link to current issue just now or later).Yes, they can filter issues while they choose issues to link using standard Linked Issues field and later we can validate if they have chosen the right kind (and number) of issue but I'd like to make this process simplу as possible.How it can be done (without additional plugins preferrably, but we already have ScriptRunner).I've looked how I can do it but seems like I'm missing something simple.

If Issue is linked to ABC-1, also link to ABC-2

Is there a way to create this automation?:

If my issue, CAT-1 is linked to DOG-1, then also link my CAT-1 to DOG-2.

Result:

CAT-1 relates to DOG-1

CAT-1 relates to DOG-2

Without additional apps I'm not sure if it's possible...

You can try this free app https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1216498/easy-links-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview allows a new Custom Field with issues based on your criteria, after chose it all issues will be linked.
