I recently created an automation that updates a custom field in any open issue on a particular project. This automated update happens once per day. Unfortunately, every time the automation update occurs, an email notification is sent out. How can I prevent notifications going out when this automated rule runs? I don't want to turn off email notifications entirely - just when this rule runs.
Hello @Jamie Edmondson
I found a post that references this other post that points out a check box in the Edit Issue action concerning sending/not sending email notifications for the update caused by a rule.
I have not tested that out, but hopefully that solves your problem.
(Thanks to @Pavol Harvanka for noting that post in their own post on the same topic.)
Perfect. That's it. For some reason, I guess I thought that was related to notifications if the rule fails. It isn't at all.
Thank you, @Trudy Claspill
