Lock certain dates in JIRA???

We're using JIRA Software 7.3 as Release Management system where people submit tickets/task for deployment.

Say we have big maintenance this weekend and we want to lockup those days, if users submit ticket for deployment during these days, JIRA should lock them from donig so.

Is there an ability out of the box to do so? Or are there any other ways to do from add-on?

The easiest method would be to write a custom transition validator to reject data if it doesn't match a criteria. If you indicate whether you're on JIRA Cloud or JIRA Server and what plugins you have, we can help further.
