Jira Incoming mail server config using Google mailing list account

Hello,
We are using Gmail mailing list accounts for our incoming mail servers.
Following latest announcements from Google, we have a yellow warning sign next to each one of them (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-articles/ATTN-Changes-required-for-Jira-mail-servers-using-Google-email/ba-p/2005850).
Can anyone help with what needs to be done in order to continue and getting emails from these addresses following May 30?

Regards,
Yaron

Hi

Provided you followed the steps in https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-articles/ATTN-Changes-required-for-Jira-mail-servers-using-Google-email/ba-p/2005850 and created an App Password in gmail, and then updated Jira mail handler with this app password for that account that's all you need to do here.

I don't expect that this warning will disappear though in the Jira Cloud UI.  At least not right away.  This is still using basic authentication, just with an app password.  Our own system can't tell the difference between an account password and an app password.  Which is why you are probably still seeing this warning sign even after updating with an app password since they are effectively the same kind of authentication.
