Don't Hide Completed Issues

Hi, the issue we get done in Jira disappears after a while, we want them to always remain open. When we searched the internet, we saw that there is a field called Hide Completed Issues, but when we enter the project settings, we do not encounter such a field. How to turn off the hiding of the finished issue?

Hi Murad - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

If you have either a Team-managed project or Jira Work Management project, you will not be able to alter the 2 week period.

Hi @John Funk

We use a Team-managed project, so we can't change it

Im in the free version and dont see a way to change this. am I stuck too?

"you will not be able to alter the two week period". Yes, you've been very clear on that. What isn't clear is whether the entire setting can be turned off (which isn't the same as wanting to change 2 weeks to 4 weeks, or 20 weeks, or whatever).
So is there a way to either

1) disable the feature - which seems to be an option on Jira server, but not cloud.

2) create a filter to show those issues which seem to be hidden forever. Neither 'status' or 'resolution' filters make older issues appear.

Hey Greg - this is just a user community. You will need to make those wishes known with Atlassian directly:

Another alternative is to create a second board which will show the issues. You can read about it in a recent article I wrote:

If that's a helpful article, give it a Like for me. :-)

This is very unfortunate, we have an automation set up just so it can't be hidden. Completely asinine as it alerts people that the tasks are completed again

Hi @Murad ,

I suppose you are talking about Issues in a board.

By default, Jira will hide issues from the board after 2 weeks. You can change this setting using "Show All" that means that completed issue will always be shown on your board.

In order to change this setting :

  1. Go to the desired board, then click Board > Configure.
  2. In the Hide completed issues field, select the retention period. Issues that weren't updated within this period will be hidden.

Hope this helps,

Fabio

Hi @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_

We can't see Hide completed issues field.

Is your board a Kanban or Scrum Board?

Please verify that you are a board administrators otherwise you need to ask to a Jira Admin to provide you this permission.

In attachment, a screenshot of a Kanban Board with the provided setup :

Please let me know.

Hello

I have Admin role but I can't see this feature.

I'm using Jira Software (free version) and can you tell me how to hide completed issues from active sprint?
