Custom field visible only to reporter or a group

Hi, I added a custom text field "client" which indicates who/what company is the task created for. I want to make this field visible only to the creator of the task or a member of a custom group in JIRA. How Can I do that?

Does anyone know if Atlassian has added this feature to Jira Cloud without the need for an add-on? Just wondering since this thread is quite old.

Hey @Mateusz Czuchrak

OOTB field level permission setting is not possible in jira yet, Please have a look at this thread where I had explained about the similar use case https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Can-i-create-a-field-only-for-admin-purpose/qaq-p/1935667

It isn't possible to restrict a field. You can use Issue Security Schemes to restrict at the Issuetype level. If a user has browse permissions then the will be able to see all exposed fields on the screen.
