Nice to see you in the group, @Leonard Chew ! I love the range of your hobbies - singing, sports, family ... you have it all covered :). Great accepted answer, and also good suggestion - I will pass it along to the team (who I am sure are on it)!
Apparently I'm late to the answerers party - hi!
I work for a US-based nationwide mortgage lender in California. My main roles are managing our technical help desks, third-party application teams, and our in-house mortgage technology development team. I moonlight as the JIRA/Confluence admin as well.
In my free time I work more - my side business is laser-engraving wood jewelry and accessories. More recently, I've begun making and selling cloth masks since there's an immense need and market for those right now. (pictured below is a leather mask I made for giggles, these are not the cloth masks I make haha)
Here's some pictures of my creative work since my work-work is lots of uninteresting button pressing:
Wow, super impressive!
Such beautiful crafts, @Meg Holbrook ! (A post so nice, I commented twice).
Where you're from:
I work in New York City - I live in New Jersey - I'm from the mid-west
What you do with your free time:
Agility Research, Photography, Cooking/Baking and I love binging Movie and TV
What you do with your work time:
I help teams with Tools, Culture and Experience as best I can - baby steps
Why you answer Community questions:
I think Atlassian has many big customers but I see many many small teams and not-technical teams that could really benefit from tools that help shape culture. I want to help them all, somehow.

Your favorite quote: (Just one? ... yikes.)
“Building an exceptional team or institution starts with a founder. But being a founder doesn’t mean starting a new company. It is within anyone’s grasp to be the founder and culture-creator of their own team, whether you are the first employee or joining a company that has existed for decades.”― Laszlo Bock

Nice to meet you, @John D Patton ! Love that quote
Hi All,
I started answering with the new tool and forgot to present myself.
Thanks for the invite @Bridget!
Hey @Patricia Francezi ! Nice to see you here and thanks for all the details. Hope things are well with you in Sao Paulo!
Love that MLK quote - very timely indeed! Talk to you soon,

Hello all,
I am Yacob Hassidim from Meteor Aerospace company.
I am responsible of:
Yacob.
Welcome, @Yacob Hassidim ! Your job sounds out of this world... :) Excuse the bad pun - happy that you're here!
Hello I'm Hernán from Córdoba Argentina. In my free time I usually wonder what happened, with 2 kids around that hardly happens. In the best case scenario I play airsoft with a couple of friends.
During my work time I run my company which happens to be an Atlassian Partner as well.
My favorite quote "ticket or didn't happen" certainly no idea where did it come from, I liked it before entering the Atlassian environment.
I answer questions for at least 2 reasons, help others and have fun solving Atlassian scenarios specially with very little information.
Proudest answer? None at this point, wasn't even aware u l had to have one hehe.
@Hernan Halabi - Elite IT Consulting Group , welcome to the Atlassian Answerers Group! Your favorite quote is hilarious - I'm not sure many outside of the Atlassian Community would fully understand. Thanks for all that you contribute to the group!
Hi Everyone
Thank you to Bridget for this invitation, excited to be part of this group
Cheers all have a good 1 and stay safe
Hiya, Harold! How're are things in South Africa?
Great quote - love Matthew McConaughey. It was really fun to rewatch that video! Thanks for sharing :)
Hi!, I'm Sridevi Chirra and I've been worked as a Systems Engineer for a Rental Car company "Enterprise Holdings Inc." in St.Louis Missouri. I've been working with Atlassian Products for over five years. Always in charge of research and automate the tasks. My whole team got laid off due to COVID-19.
Currently, looking for Administration positions in Jira/Confluence, Weblogic and Operations side in Software Companies.
I'm in the process of certification to earn in Azure Fundamentals.
Hey @sridevichirra - so sorry to hear about your team :/. Have you checked out our careers group?
Definitely post there and see if you can connect with Community members looking for someone with your skill set!
Keep us posted,
Bridget
Hey @David Washburn ! Welcome to the group :).
Hi Everyone, I am excited to be a part of this group:
My name in Nonhlanhla Khutane , Noni for short.
I am from South Africa
In my free time, I enjoy listening to music and watching tons of series. And also spending time with the family.
I am a Linux Technical Consultant Specialising in Atlassian Infrastructure and aspiring Atlassian Administrator
Do or do not ..there is no try
I love being part of a community, so sharing and knowing that there's someone you can assist makes me feel great.
Welcome, @Noni !
What series are you into now? I'm looking for a new one after finishing Succession.
Great answer - thanks again for sharing!
Hey peoples! I'm Andrew, and I do Atlassian stuff like plugin development, administration, and whatever needs to be done for my company.
I'm located in Hattiesburg, MS. In my free time, I like to play around with the Ham Radio, working on data/packet and also do some emergency communication in my community. At work, I do anything and everything that is needed by our clients and our internal teams. This ranges from setting up, configuring, developing plugins and scripts to doing Linux administration and devops (Java, Perl, .NET, etc). I also do random integration between applications via SOAP, REST, or whatever else.
I don't have a good pet photo at the moment, but here is a cartoon drawing of my cat by a talented artist in Spain:
I don't answer a whole lot of questions, but maybe I will now! I usually browse the community for solutions and I'll come up on a post where someone is having issues and I happen to know the answer. I figure people help me, so I might as well help others.
@Andrew Moulton - if your cat has such a fabulous illustration - it must certainly be famous? I'm very impressed!
Thanks for sharing, looking forward to hearing more from you in the future!
Nice to meet you!
😍
Okay honestly @Davey , this is the best intro post I've read yet! So nice to meet you :). The Atlassian Community Team are huge drag fans, and we're all super impressed with your get-up. Hopefully one day we can come to one of your trivia shows!
Thank you @Bridget
I actually tease that I was "raised by drag queens" so it was inevitable that I tried it out and loved it. :-) Haven't been able to do much, but I am working on some new virtual material mixed with my other passions and hobbies.
Question for the community, has anyone ever been tasked with building an order entry and tracking system within JSD? I have some stakeholders looking for a solution and starting to look into the options. I was thinking of using this plug-in - https://mumosystems.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CHEC/overview?homepageId=635273499
Although we will not be doing IT Procurement, I am thinking of running the trial and taking the test drive. ;-)
I hope I'm not too late for the party! Hi, I'm Rodney, and I'm new to the group!
Where I'm from is a bit of a long-winded question, but I currently live just outside Atlanta, GA, U.S.
Well, with my free time I enjoy playing Video Games, Board Games, take pictures or tinkering with my servers. Oh, I also do some writing: https://thejiraguy.com/
I actually work as an Atlassian Consultant for Coyote Creek Consulting. Which usually means I can be doing just about anything on any given day.
Well, there's this picture I got at an airshow a few years ago.
"A Journey of 1,000 miles begins with but one step."
Guess it's the same reason I still write on the blog - I enjoy helping people out. And well, if that's true, go where the people are.
Hi @Rodney Nissen - ReleaseTEAM aka THE JIRA GUY!
Wow we are lucky to have you in the group! That is a crazy photo you managed to capture at the air show - well done there.
Hello from Edmond, OK (USA)!
My name is Paul. I'm a Sr. Professional at CoreLogic, Inc... (www.CoreLogic.com) serving as a Scrum/Agile Product Owner for a SaaS product in the Real Estate space. I've been involved in product management in various capacities off-and-on for the last 15 years.
My favorite part of the job is getting to work with customers on outlining new features, enhancements, and even new products. Screen design and workflow in particular are things that I get geeky-excited about. LOL.
Aside from that, I also act as our team's Jira administrator. We use Jira Cloud and Confluence together for our development and product team requirements, goals, and tracking.
Personally, a little about me:
I'm new to the community, but have been working with Jira for around four years now. I don't claim to know everything, but if I have knowledge to share, I love to share it. We make each other stronger and better when we don't silo or compartmentalize information. I can only progress as a leader and manager by supporting my peers and those that report to me.
Feel free to ask any questions you have, or to reach out to me directly!

Hi everyone, Stephen here
Welcome, @Stephen Sayler ! That black sand beach looks pretty nice right about now :). Thanks for the fun personal details and for being part of the crew!
Hi Everyone,
My name is Ben and I'm from California, US
In my free time, I like run and hike. Also , like to participate in obstacle course challenges and DIY house projects.
I work on solutions incorporating Atlassian products and integration.
The reason I enjoy answering questions is to share my knowledge and to help others get the same value I get from using Atlassian products.
Hi Ben! Nice to meet a fellow Californian :). I am based in Truckee, CA - what about you? Your hobbies are AMAZING - any before/after photos you can share?
Thanks for joining the Answerers group!
Hi @Bridget .. Nice. I'm based south of the Bay Area. Truckee is a nice place. Usually, stop by on the way to Lake Tahoe.
Hi everyone, Jonathan here from Miami, Florida.
I'm a Project Manager and a Senior Systems Analyst, which means I spend a lot of my time trying to fix problems and find answers. I have developed many custom projects within Jira, and we are investing heavily to truly make this system the best it can be for our goals of automation and efficiency.
I'm so glad that I was invited to join this group and I look forward to being able to help others, just like I have been helped by many before.
Hi @Jonathan V_ ! Hope everything is well with you in Miami. Sounds like your experience/expertise will be extremely useful for other members of this group!
Thanks for joining :)
Bridget
Hi @Bridget , thankfully all is well in Miami, despite the crazy hurricane season we've been having.
Hi,
Thanks for the invitation to this group.
I'm glad to be part of this group, looking forward to learning and share my knowledge.
Hi @Dmitry Kim ! Love that quote, thanks for sharing. Happy you're here!
Hi, I'm Geoff,
So here's Coco, a small greyhound, she's meditating.
🐕☺️
Hi Geoff!
Love how you phrased "I help my kids learn to study." The learning part is certainly the most important so that you don't always have to be helping them study!! And I think I'm going to have to steal your favorite quote for my own now - hilarious :)
PS - Coco looks very zen in her photo - I think we could all channel a little more Coco these days!
Germany, lived and worked in the US, now back in Germany

There is enough foodporn, porn and people which solely use the internet for self portrayal. I am exactly the generation, which remembers times without internet but is also able to appear as digital native.
I see the the the internet as biggest advantage of our time. Knowledge available for free for everyone, everywhere and at any time.
I want to support this by giving back knowledge.
Hi @Christian Schopf ! Where in the US did you live? Are you happy to be back in Germany?
Really interesting take on the "why" you answer questions. Amazing insight - we are lucky to have you!
Hi everyone, hope all are doing well. Looking forward to your guidance.
Hi @Ramil Navares ! Welcome to the group. I love that you have removed the box from the equation - very smart. Cheers!
Bridget
Hi everyone! My name is Gabriela, I am thankful and excited to be part of this group :)
Hi Gabriela! We are thankful and excited that you are part of this group!
WOW - you mention bunnies yet you have not posted photos of any? Seems weird to me... ;)
Love your quote - welcome again!
Bridget
Hi @Kristin Lyons ! Hope you're enjoying the changing fall colors in Massachusetts :). I went to college in Rhode Island, so I'm feeling very nostalgic this time of year!
Thanks for being part of this group,
Bridget
Hey Guys,
I'm very excited to be a part of this group. I'm looking forward to improving my knowledge, as well as helping others with this amazing software.
My name is Luanna, I'm also known as Becky, which is my gaming nickname. I live in South Brasil and really enjoy watching a lot of TV shows, hanging out with friends, and I do yoga at least once a week.
I'm currently working for MadeiraMadeira, a national e-commerce company, as a site admin, Jira Service Desk admin and agent. Most of my work is helping my team with automation and process, to better optimize our work time.
My favorite quote has always been: "There's more to living than being alive". This year, unfortunately with the pandemic, the quote has a greater meaning.
I look forward to being a helpful member of the Atlassian Community.
Hello Luanna/Becky!! Welcome to the group :). Love your balance of gaming and yoga - a healthy dose of both!
Totally agree that your favorite quote has some extra gravity this year. Thank you for sharing!
Cheers,
Bridget
Hi folks,
My name is Radosław Cichocki (Radek for short), and I work at Deviniti.

Hiya, @Radoslaw Cichocki _Deviniti_ !
What's your favorite book? I love the same genre that you do! And who doesn't love a good cup of coffee. Sending you and your team hellos!
