Hi! is it possible to turn Beta off? It's not sufficient and user friendly. The old one version is way better. Please give us a choice what version of Trello we can use.
How come you were TESTING the new layout for months and nobody pointed out how horrible it is? Did you hired bunch of yes men that were never using trello for anything to test it? This is straight up failure in every way possible.
With the new UI, I am no longer able to use my Card Snooze power up. This power up is also not available on mobile. Suddenly, I have no way to snooze my cards today.
So many of us seem unhappy with the new format, but it doesn't seem like we're making progress with keeping things as we've liked them in the past. Anyone else know of any similar platforms to Trello in case we need to switch to a new platform?
This update has been terrible. It is unusable when not using a full screen window on a full sized monitor. About 80% of the card is taken up by 'comments and activities' and I am unable to view the card details at all when I have the window on the right side of the monitor. Also, why are the automations and card actions being pushed to another menu that has to be opened separately? This is inefficient and the thought process behind this makes no sense.
Unfortunately, we will need to look for a new product for our team due to the changes that have been made.
This is my view when I have the window on the right side of my monitor. It is completely unusable:
@Gaurav Kataria Thank you!! Being able to minimize the comments has been super helpful in my personal processes. I am still not a fan of the placement of the automation button. Adding this to the 'edit card' function that is available outside of a card would be extremely helpful so we can run automations without having to open the card.

Hi! Lex here from the Trello Product Management team! Just wanted to provide an update that we are in the final stages of bug fixing for the board navigation changes we described in the blog post above. We are confident we will be able to get it out to 100% of users by the end of the month but are shooting for sooner.
Appreciate the patience, we know everybody is eager to get access to these improvements! Will share an update here as soon as the change has been rolled out.
If there are any other board navigation issues you are facing that you do not believe will be fixed by the changes described in the blog post above, please let me know!
@George Peden _Personal_ if you're not following the other thread "Board Navigation changes, based on Community feedback" - a support presentative at Atlassian confirmed yesterday that there will be no reversion to the old view, but they will return the ability to pin the board list to the left. Of their 300k user base, we are definitely in the minority.
@jenn .. in fairness, they never said they would allow us to revert it. The have been very clear about not going back to the old UI. Bear in mind, like you, I utterly despise the new layout. I think it has made Trello much harder and to use and provides, as far as I can tell, no benefit or gain. However, we persisted in pushing feedback and discourse to the Trello dev team about the new switcher and what a terrible experience it is. A whole bunch of us inisted we wanted the left hand board switcher back.
Initially we were told they wouldn't change it and there would be no left hand switcher. But after a while, and more feedback, they conceded and have implemented the ability to pin the board switcher back on the left hand side which they are rolling out shortly.
So persist. There is alot of people providing the same feedback about a bunch of things. The more we push back, the more likely it is we will get changes we want. I guarantee for every one of us complaining on here, there are 5 more doing it via email or direct feedback channels.
You are not in a smaller minority as you may think ;)
Im using the free version and the new trello is so slow, you try to move a check list and the screen gets freezed. when you write something it took a few seconds to show you what you are writing, its imposible to work.
well, I do not know how you have been testing this new version, but half of the things dont work, UI is horrible, productivity decreased because I have to search in unlogical places and takes me more clicks. If you wanted to make new product, just launch something new and leave the trello alone. This was the best productivity app on market. you really screwed this up.
just give your devs some new project to work on and dont mess with something what was clean, fast & effective, which is first requirement for a productivity app.
I am afraid, I will have to say good bye, if it stays in this messed-up version. Its not upgrade, its huge down grade for me.
I am trying to be kind, but it is unknown to me how "professional" UI/UX developers can miss the mark with this update. To anyone who actually uses Trello, the update is not an improvement and the UI did not require further minimalism. Trello was already streamlined and well optimized for user needs.
My use case for Trello is aligned with Atlassian's new product direction, and this new update is not an improvement. More clicks and less visibility of the items I regularly need are bad regardless for personal or professional uses. Therefore, I am unsure of the logic behind the new direction for Trello to justify the poor UI decisions.
With that said, please revert back to the old UI. It makes no sense to hide the Views behind an icon to only leave a blank panel. Also, the accessibility of boards on the left panel was far more convenient than the switcher, which I find annoying at the bottom of the UI.
Fortunately for me, my subscription ends this month and it is cancelled until common sense has re-entered the room. Right now, I am exploring three other products, which include the conveniences once available in Trello.
@Brynn Harrington I am presently looking at Asana, Notion, and Todoist for personal projects. So far, I really like Asana. Monday and Motion are also on my list to test later this month.
With that said, I already use ClickUp for professional projects and may transition to it for personal projects as well.
Ugh! I preferred seeing the majority of my card content on one screen -- a high-level Big Picture view -- instead of having to scroll and scroll and scroll. This new version is not nearly as visual and, for me, makes it less user-friendly. #DoNotLikeThis
I fear this is a huge setback for our team and workflow. Efficiency has already gone down. We may have to change platforms as well if this is not rectified. It is clear Trello has not taken its users into account.
