Hi there... I assigned a subtask
TASK A and TASK B Acreated. Then I assign TASK B as a subtask of TASK A.
how can I remove that subtask without deleteing TASK B?
Welcome to Atlassian community!
There's a solution for you to convert Task B to a work item.
Open Task B and then go to 3 dots at the top right corner of the page. Click on the 3 dots > convert to work item. After this, you will be prompted to select New Issue type followed by New Status and then you will get an option to confirm.
Once done, your subtask Task B will be converted to work time. Both Task A and Task B will be individual work items now.
See the attached image - marked in RED. Let me know if this worked for you.
Welcome to the community!
Task A - task
Task B - sub task
So you want to remove task B? or Task A?
You can remove task B if you have delete permissions.
You cannot remove taskA without moving Task B under another task or make the sub task a task. You will need the delete permissions to delete a task.
Hope this helps.

Hello Sebastian. It sounds like you made TASK B a Sub-task of TASK A and you are wanting to make TASK B it's own issue instead of as a sub-task of TASK A.
To convert a sub-task back to a Task work type you can try the following instructions on this community post.
