Did you mean:

how can I get project between separate install jira software and jira service desk

Jerry Lee
November 21, 2018

I install jira software and jira service desk on different server and configure application link.

when I setup jira service desk automation function "A linked issue is transitioned", I can't reach jira software project.

but I tested install jira software and jira service desk on same server, I can see project each other.

how can I link project? or what permission need to add? how to do it.

thanks.

Hi @Jerry Lee in your case I'm afraid that they need to be installed in the same server. If you install JSD in another server, is seen as another Jira.

If you need them to be in different server I recommend to use this app that allows the integration and communication between them: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1215199/backbone-issue-sync-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview

Cheers,

We're the developer of the Exalate Jira Issue Sync app.

What you're describing is a pretty common use case for our app.

You'll be able to synchronize any issue data of one of your instances over to the other instance.

This will happen in real-time. That way, you'll always be in the loop on progress status, comments, attachments (and even work-logs or change history)!

You'll be able to easily customize exactly what you'd like to sync and who you'd like to sync it with.

Like the following example:

If you want, I can show you exactly how it would work for your use case through a one-on-one demo. You can book one here: Book A Demo.
