Hi
we have initiative->epic->story. we use a custom link initiative-epic , and the epics-story link.
I would like to create an automation to when user edit the field fix version on initiative , the change will reflect on epic and story and the value will be copied to them .
is that possible?
Hello @aya nayman
Here are a few posts that concern copying data from an Initiative type issue to a child Epic type issue with automation.
There are probably others.
If those don't provide you with enough information, so us the rule that you construct and let us know at which point in it you are having difficulty.
Hi .
thank you, this is a good inspiration of resolution however my use case is a bit different .
the idea was to get the copy of a field first from initiative to epics and than from epics to stories. so that all levels will have the same value in the field.
(I tried this with fix version field but I'm going to try this with our company custom field)
eventually I made it with 2 branches . branch 1 to copy for epic:
and branch 2 to copy for story :
and branch 2 to copy for stories
