Why do the balls differ?

When Jira starts up, my colleague sees two balls, but I see three balls. It's exactly the same Jira instance at the same time.

Does that mean my Jira skills are better?

Sadly, no.  It's supposed to be an animated Charlie juggling, but sometimes he freezes with different numbers of balls in the air.  (R.I.P Charlie, you are missed)
