Why do some epics do not adopt the due date of it's storys?

I have several Epics with storys. All storys have due dates. Some Epics do not adopt the due date of their respective  story. There is no automation in place to set any due dates. The field due date was not set manually and remains empty. Do you know why?

Hi @Kai Beckstein , a parent issue will not inherit the due date from any of its children unless specifically directed thru automation or some other scripting solution. I would inspect the History of the Epic where the due date equates to that of the child to understand where/how it was set.
