Why closed items are moved and shown in a new sprint? How to avoid this?

e.g. 5 user stories were closed in #1 Sprint and after new sprint was started, these 5 closed user stories are shown in #2 Sprint in Closed column?

Issues are only considered completed if they are in the far right column, regardless of the status.
